Why so many scissors?

Chipping is a goldworking technique in which you cut purl or bullion wire into tiny pieces, each roughly as long as the thread is wide.

Laid work. I really like it - slowly and methodically covering a shape with neat rows of metal thread.

I set myself the challenge to stitch one lobe each day this week.
