My Life in Stitches
This is where I share my inspiration, ideas, experiments, and sometimes mishaps. The Journal is a constant work in progress with sneak peeks into my world and the creative (and sometimes chaotic) projects happening in The Studio.
Goldwork progress

Chip, chip...
Chipping is a goldworking technique in which you cut purl or bullion wire into tiny pieces, each roughly as long as the thread is wide.
Goldwork progress
Laid work. I really like it - slowly and methodically covering a shape with neat rows of metal thread.
Goldwork progress
I set myself the challenge to stitch one lobe each day this week.
Stitching hands free
See the progress how Anna Scott embroiders a piece of shaded gold embroidery of a bee over a honeycomb background of solid gold thread.
Lacing Embroidery
Lacing embroidery in preparation for framing is quite easy. Doing it yourself will save you a lot of money at the framers.
