Traditional Jacobean crewel work is a feast of exotic flowers and fanciful foliage - which is what I really love.

In SNOW BERRIES the large, plump flower bud ready to burst, decorative leaves and textured berries are created using a variety of stitches and techniques typical of traditional crewel embroidery. The colour scheme, of ice blues and and greens with details in rich raspberry reds transform this classic style of design into a contemporary piece of embroidery.
The detailed instructions and diagrams will help guide you step by step through the project however, you might find it helpful to have a stitch directory at hand - I always do.

Happy Stitching, Anna
